June 11, 2006, 4AM: Played 2 hours at ringos
Texas Hold'em

got down early. stayed down for about 1 hour and 45 minutes. played tight, really tight. for about an hour until I decided to come out and raise in middle position with 46 (when you play 46 it doesn't matter whether it is suited or not, so I will only refer to this hand as 46)8)
So anyways after an hour of dick picking, I enter with a max raise in middle position, the button calls and the big blind makes the obligitory " I already have 2 in " call.  The flop comes 2 3 5 the bb checks I bet 6 because I am supposed to get paid.  The button says, I know you have 46.... are you kidding me? he doesnt even give me the decency to put me on a crappy ace . he folds. the blind utters something like, ya think? ponders, then takes the other player's advice and folds. i feel the need to show this hand.  i know many people at the table, and i know the conversation is going to be fun. the button , who i don't know says i knew it, of course i say good read everyone starts kind of giggling and a friend of mine ( in an unknown position at the table) says, you waited an hour to play that hand? Anyways instead of getting pissed at the table talk, as I am one to do.  I was joking and having fun, and started a little rally, got a little juice, the game got short, and I go out of dodge

June 9, 2006, 4AM: Played 3 hours, 30 minutes at Big Ds
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

made a big promo hand.  thanks hammer.  made no good folds before the flop.  made many good folds on turn and river.  I would have been particularly pissed had I not made promo hand.  Had many dominant hands shoved. mixed emotions about this session.  Showed some discipline when I got up without buying more chips, so I am making progress with the poker demons.  Still hate pocket 10s which have been good to me lately ;)

May 24, 2006, 2AM: Played 3 hours at BDs
$4/8 Texas Hold'em

This is a good one for me to reflect on.  I was in a great mood.  I honeslty didn't care if I lost a hundred.  I was going to play for an hour, support my own game, have some fun and beat feet.

The table was loose aggressive and I decided to play somewhat tight aggressive.  That trick lasted about 10 seconds.  I started watching monster pot after monster pot getting shipped.  So loose aggressive seemed like it would be more fun.  Amazingly enough THEY were playing the same hands THEY always play, and THEY were betting them the sam way.  But instead of MY having the same hand with a better kicker or something like that I had shit and built pots for no apparent reason.  I then missed a few draws which wouldn't have been any good anyways.  Managed to fold quads ( runner runner of course and my ten on the turn should have hit someone's open ender) Meanwhile, huge pot after huge pot is being pushed.  Loose aggressive turns into loose passive. LOOSE PASSIVE!!!!! Three times, I know a player is stone cold stealing and I can't reraise him because he would call and I have absolutely nothing.  I continued to put myself in bad position after bad position. Loose passive gives way to tight passive.  My inner voice told me after my first ten minutes to get up and call it a good night even though this is honestly a dream game.  Once doubt enters my mind, I need to get my butt off the table, no matter how long I have been there.  I once read that no matter how well or bad you are going, when it really hits hard, it will be all of your weaknesses at once.  The going hasn't been exactly stellar lately,(in poker) but when it hit last night, all of my weaknesses were exploited.  Lack of discipline on my part.  Fighting with myself while I am playing.  Gambling without an edge.  I was the worst player at this table last night, when I should have been the best.
