$5 Buy-In Tournament (6th out of 10 Players)
HORSE tourney 8 players. thought it would be fun and was. I like to play all games so this is an interesting little tourney. Once again, nobody will get rich playing these.

$0.50 Pot-Limit Omaha Hi-Lo
2 tables. $25 buy in each. First time playing PLO8 live, not bad. One hand cost me but I don't think I played it poorly other than the crying call on the river when I knew he hit his gut shot. Felt myself slip for a few hands after that but cashed out remaining $ before going on full tilt.
Enjoyed the game and may play more in the future.

Emotions
Jesse was right in one of the permalinks, my biggest weakness is probably playing emotional. This leads to two of my biggest money drains: rebuying in an emotional state and tilt. So what do I need to do?
Just some ideas:
1) 1/2 hour between time I go broke and rebuy
2) 10 minute break from all games after going broke in 1
3) realize the emotion beginning to effect my play and take a break or stop.
I think if I would have done this today, I could have saved myself a decent amount of money. I've gotten better at focusing on the games and limiting distractions, so this is the next step in my development.
feel free to comment if you have suggestions or experience the same problems, what do you do to combat tilt?

No-Limit Texas Hold'em
Got stuck early then was grinding back to respectability when I get overly aggressive and lose one big pot. Was doing OK mentally but came off about $60 late. Playing a few too many hands for the games I was in. I need to do a better job of recognizing player styles before it bitesme in the ass.

$5 Buy-In No-Limit Texas Hold'em Tournament (3rd out of 10 Players)
Big win baby! played well, pushed the final three pretty hard because I had to leave. Got my chips in with a race and lost.
The only thing these $5 tourneys are good for is experience, never going to make money here. But if I pay attention and stay patient I can actually make some good reads and plays. Focus is the main thing that determines my wins and losses.
